Never miss a high-affinity antibody again. Many methods are only applied after final antibody selection. ImmunoPrecise allows
screening at a very early stage without need for pure, known quantities of mAb and without the need of Surface Plasmon Resonance
and BEFORE any clones are disregarded during the early selection process.

Rapid Prime / Standard PrimeCustom Monoclonal Antibody Development - Rapid Prime - Hybridoma
Rapid Prime - Rapid Prime is IPA’s trademark custom monoclonal antibody development service.
This rapid immunization strategy saves weeks on custom hybridoma development. When coupled with
our single-step cloning procedure, Clone-EZ, positive hybridoma cell lines are identified in 65 days.
This animal friendly immunization strategy does not employ Freund's adjuvant and reduces the
immunization phase from 84 days to only 18 days total. The Rapid Prime method has also been extremely useful for generating monoclonal antibodies against conformational epitopes.
Custom Monoclonal Antibody Development - Standard Prime
Standard Prime - IPA’s custom monoclonal antibody development service is fast and efficient.
Utilizing IPA’s trademark single-step Clone-EZ Method, IPA shaves weeks off of the traditional
time line for mAb production. IPA can custom develop monoclonal antibodies to an array of antigens including peptides, modified peptides, recombinant proteins, DNA plasmids and small molecules. If you need monoclonal antibodies even faster and have expressed or purified target molecules as antigen then consider our Rapid Prime Method click here.

Disadvantage |
|
4 female BALB/c mice are immunized Best responding 2 mice are used for fusion
Antigen amount required: 0.5mg minimum for immunizing (25ug/mouse approach) 1mg minimum for screening |
1. Gold standard – well characterized 2. Theoretically produces higher affinity antibodies (longer immunization schedule allows for more affinity maturation and can produce high affinity antibodies) 3. Test bleed done after 2nd boost to ensure appropriate immune response is occurring 4. Smaller amount of immunizing antigen required 5. Back-up mice can be used for a repeat fusion if necessary 6. Method available in rats |
1. Uses Freund's Adjuvant (category of invasiveness “D” according to CCAC*) 2. Slower than RP Approximately 115 days to identify positive clones 3. Intraperitoneal injections considered more invasive (mice can have more health issues) 4. Final pre-fusion boost is intravenous and can cause anaphylaxis 5. Final pre-fusion boost cannot be IV for whole bacteria antigen

Rapid Prime (RP)
4 female BALB/c mice are immunized All 4 mice are used for fusion
Antigen amount required: 2mg minimum for immunizing 1mg minimum for screening |
1. Proprietary method developed in-house and used successfully for last 5 years 2. Does not use Freund's adjuvant (considered more mouse friendly approach) 3. Fast - approximately 65 days to identify positive clones 4. Statistically creates more IgG antibodies 5. Produces antibodies to conformational epitopes 6. Works well for conserved and small proteins |
1. Could theoretically result in lower affinity antibodies 2. Test bleed is not done prior to fusion. Localized immune response is created therefore immune sera may or may not be of value 3. Immune sera can be low titer and therefore no positive control for ELISA assay (screening) 4. Large amount of immunizing antigen required 5. No back-up mice therefore no repeat fusion possible 6. Used in mice only. Not available in rats |
